Noise Barriers

We can access a comprehensive range of acoustic insulation and noise suppression products for residential, commercial or industrial applications. Acoustic materials are applied as noise dampers, noise absorbers or noise barriers.

NOISE BARRIERS are used to reduce the transmission of noise from its source. Made as a single layer or combined with absorber materials for different applications.

WAVEBAR
Description ~ Wavebar is an economical, easy to install sound barrier that greatly reduces noise transmission through walls, partitions, floors and ceilings in buildings, vehicles and marine applications. Wavebar consists of a specially engineered material made of a mineral loaded polymer supported by a reinforcing vinyl face fabric. Wavebar is very flexible, has a high mass, is easy to cut and fabricate and has a high tensile strength enabling long vertical drops. Its limp nature combined with its high mass provides a resonance free barrier to both high and low frequency noise.

Application ~ Exclusion of traffic and aircraft noise in homes, apartments and offices, portable noise barrier screens; wall, floor and ceiling interlining, under flooring mats in vehicles, noise curtains from heavy machinery or power tools.

WAVEBAR Foil Faced

Description ~ Wavebar Foil Faced consists of a high mass mineral loaded polymer bonded with an aluminium foil face to provide fire resistance, additional thermal performance and good reflectivity for improved lighting efficiency. Wavebar Foil Faced remains the easiest and most effective means to reduce noise through walls, floors and ceilings in boats, buildings and vehicles. It also provides ideal performance in muffling explosions, heavy machinery and power tools. It is very effective as a barrier to both low and high frequency noise.

Applications ~ can be used in all in-situ building applications requiring AS 1530.3-1999 conformance. Ideal for under floor matting in marine and vehicle applications, exclusion of traffic and aircraft noise in homes, apartments and offices; portable noise barrier screens, partition walls, under floors and above ceilings plus machinery enclosures and as noise curtains.

SORBERFLEX AL

Description ~ Sorberflex AL is a composite sandwich material comprising of a flexible high mass noise barrier, laminated between two layers of flexible acoustic foam with a top face of reinforced aluminium foil. Both layers of the decoupling acoustic foam are composed of combustion modified polyether polyurethane foam that is hydrolysis resistant making it well suited for damp and humid areas. The aluminium foil face adds a physical barrier against dust, oil and liquids plus provides additional thermal performance and good reflectivity. Sorberflex AL maximises noise control by providing high sound absorption (reverberation control) and superior transmission loss through the mid to high frequency bands with maximum performance at the 500Hz level.

Applications ~ Sorberflex AL is ideal for machinery and plant enclosures, engine compartments and firewalls of boats, trucks, buses and heavy machinery, spa motor enclosures, air compressor and generator enclosures.

SOBERFLEX PU

Both layers of the decoupling acoustic foam are composed of combustion modified polyether polyurethane foam that is hydrolysis resistant making it well suited for damp and humid areas. The polyurethane film face adds a physical barrier against dust, liquids and sprays. Sorberflex PU maximises noise control by providing high sound absorption (reverberation control) and superior transmission loss through the mid to high frequency bands with maximum performance at the 500Hz level.

SOUNDLAG 45

Description ~ Soundlag 45 consists of a tough reinforced aluminium foil face bonded to a 5kg/mt² flexible barrier backed with a 12mm thick, hydrolysis resistant, combustion modified acoustic foam. The combination of these materials provide and excellent transmission loss along with a “four zero” fire rating (to AS 1530.3). It maximizes noise control by providing high sound absorption (reverberation control) and superior transmission loss. Soundlag 45 also has a high light and heat reflectivity.

Applications ~ Soundlag is easy to cut and install and is ideal for wrapping of hydraulic and waste pipes, air conditioning ducting and shrouds, compressor and motor wraps.

SOUNDLAG 45C

Description ~ Soundlag 45C consists of a tough reinforced aluminium foil face bonded to a 5kg/mt² flexible barrier backed with a 25mm thick, hydrolysis resistant, combustion modified convoluted acoustic foam. The combination of these materials provide and excellent transmission loss along with a “four zero” fire rating (to AS 1530.3). It maximizes noise control by providing high sound absorption (reverberation control) and superior transmission loss. Soundlag 45C also has a high light and heat reflectivity.

Applications ~ Soundlag 45C is easy to cut and install and is ideal for wrapping of hydraulic and waste pipes, air conditioning ducting and shrouds, compressor and motor wraps.

SILENTSTEP PREMIUM UNDERLAY

Description ~ Silentstep Premium is a high performance acoustic underlay for all types of carpet and provides significant reduction in the transfer of air-borne and impact noise between floors. It consists of a flexible, high mass noise barrier (8kg/mt²) laminated to a layer of 10mm decoupled foam with a tough abrasion resistant facing. Silentstep Premium increases overall sound transmission loss and provides a high degree of sound absorption thereby reducing reverberant noise levels.

Applications ~ Silentstep is the ideal carpet underlay to use where the transfer of noise is a problem. With the foam made from combustion modified and hydrolysis resistant materials it can be used in damp and humid environments. Is ideal for under carpet in multi-story buildings, bulkheads of boats, trucks, buses and construction machinery or as premium underlay for boats, cars, 4 WD’s, trucks, tractors and heavy machinery for increased driver/passenger comfort.

SOUNDMAT PE – HEAVY VEHICLE FLOORING

Description ~ Soundmat PE is a low profile, high mass noise barrier bonded to a flexible closed cell foam decoupling layer with a face of highly abrasion resistant embossed vinyl. Soundmat PE provides a significant increase in noise transmission loss making it very acoustically effective. The closed cell foam backing is hydrolysis resistant making it suitable for wet or humid conditions and also reducing the potential for corrosion. It is easy to cut and install and is chemically resistant to oils, alkalis and acids.

Application ~ Soundmat PE is ideal for heavy vehicle flooring, floor mats and firewall covers.
